Who We Are

I’m Shalini Prashar, and together with my husband Gagandeep Bhutani, we co-founded YukonCart with a shared vision of uplifting local businesses across the Yukon.

After relocating to Whitehorse, I was deeply inspired by the passion, creativity, and dedication of local artisans, farmers, and entrepreneurs. From handcrafted goods to fresh local produce, every product carried a unique story that reflects the heart and culture of the Yukon.

Yet, many local vendors faced a common challenge – limited access to digital tools and online market reach. This gap motivated us to create YukonCart: a simple, supportive, and accessible online platform that helps local businesses expand beyond physical markets and connect with customers across the region.
